1.Calculate the current in each branch of the parallel circuit below.
2.Download the Multisim file “Parallel1” from Doc Sharing, Week 4. Run the simulation and verify the simulated results are the same as the calculated values. Were the values the same? (YES/NO.) If no, why?
3.Calculate the total power dissipated in the circuit by using the total voltage and current. Then calculate the power dissipated in each resistor and verify that the sum of the power dissipated in each resistor equals the total power dissipated.
4.Construct the circuit above on the breadboard. Connect the circuit’s input to the variable positive supply. Set the supply to +8V. Use the handheld DMM to adjust the supply to +8 V. Using the handheld DMM, measure the currents below. Remember, to measure current, the handheld DMM must be in series with the resistor. Have the professor verify the circuit before applying power.
